Promoting over 160 years of craftsmanship, Belleek Pottery is located in the quaint village of Belleek in Co. Fermanagh on the banks of the River Erne. This Neo-Georgian building is home to Ireland’s oldest working fine china pottery. Established in 1857, Belleek Pottery holds a very special place in Ireland’s cultural and commercial heritage. They were producing more than 100,000 pieces of pottery annually, passing through 16 pairs of hands. The Belleek Group comprises world-renowned gift and tableware brands of Belleek Classic, Belleek Living, Galway Irish Crystal, and Aynsley China. This year’s Annual Christmas Ornament has been inspired by an Old Irish Cornmill in Annalong, Co Down, Northern Ireland. In operation from the early 1800s until the late 1960s, this busy corn mill milled oats, supplied by local Irish farmers into oatmeal, which was used to produce bread and cereals. The now beautifully restored corn mill houses an exhibition showing the milling process in detail along with its working waterwheel which powered the mill for all those years.
